Over the labor day weekend, Royal Caribbean ran one of my favorite deals. They ran their Kids Sail Free promotion. Now that we have a daughter in Kindergarten it is much harder to find low prices because most of the best prices are during times kids are in school. Well, fortunately, fall break of 2019 was a covered time for the kids sail free promotion. With this promotion, all we would have to pay for our children is taxes and gratuities. I estimate this saved us ~$1500 “high five.”
Last year we had sailed Oasis of the Seas and fell in love with this mega ship class. It has so much to offer the entire family. So with this cruise, I set out to find a similar ship to sail but knew Oasis was in Europe so that would not be an option. After making several mock bookings on Royal Caribbeans website, I found Allure of the Seas to be the best value. We booked the Ocean View Large Balcony on Deck 8. I love deck eight as it is the Central Park deck and puts you right in the middle of the ship. You can get to anywhere on the ship fairly quickly from deck eight. Most importantly you are very close to some quick eat restaurants and bars for times you wake up needing a snack.
Over the next several days I am going to post more information on the process we used to book this cruise. That way you will be better equipped the next time you go to book your cruise.
